Good Faith Estimate for Costs of Services

Steele Counseling offers both in-person and telehealth appointments and we accept BlueCross/BlueShield PPO insurance or out-of-pocket payments. Our hourly rate is $130 for all appointment types (individual, family, couples therapy) and the initial intake appointment fee is $200. We also offer initial consultation phone calls, 10-15min, at no cost.  When Steele Counseling has an intern available we can then offer sliding fee scale appointments in the range of $25-$125, depending on client need.

If you plan to pay using your BlueCross/BlueShield PPO insurance AND you have not yet met your deductible you may owe the following contracted rates (as set by BlueCross/BlueShield): $147.64 for initial appointment, $107.85 for couples/family therapy, $127.20 for individual (with or without their family present) 55min session, $86.40 for individual 45min session, $65.49 for individual 30min session. NOTE: all of these rates are set by the insurance company and subject to review and change by your insurance provider annually.

If you plan to pay using your BlueCross/BlueShield PPO insurance AND your deductible is met you may only owe a co-pay or co-insurance payment, based on the contract you have with your insurance carrier. If you plan to pay our full rate and submit your claims to your insurance company that we are out of network with (i.e NOT BlueCross/BlueShield PPO), you will owe $130 for each session and $200 for the initial intake appointment. We will then provide you with a “superbill”, upon receipt of payment(s), that you can submit to your insurance company and they will reimburse you directly based on your insurance contract agreement. We always encourage clients to call the member services phone number on the back of your insurance card to find out exact details of your coverage.

Steele Counseling accepts the following forms of payment: cash, check, Chase QuickPay, Zelle, PayPal, Health Savings Accounts (H.S.A.) and all major credit cards. Lastly, please know that a quote of benefits is not a guarantee of payment by your insurance carrier and this is a best estimate based on prior experience working with insurance carriers.
